Regular in-stock products

Regular catalog products are not automatically treated as custom-made. Where a statutory consumer right of withdrawal applies, the applicable legal withdrawal period and conditions remain available unless a specific legal exception applies.

Custom configurations

A legal exception can apply to goods that are not prefabricated and are made according to an individual consumer choice or specification, or are clearly tailored to personal needs. A simple purchase of a normal in-stock catalog model is not labelled custom merely to remove withdrawal rights.

Sealed hygiene-sensitive goods

Where the legal requirements are met, a right of withdrawal can expire for sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons after their seal has been removed following delivery.

Defects are separate

Rights relating to defects, non-conforming goods or transport damage are separate from the consumer withdrawal right and are not excluded by this page.
